Via The Sun:
A jobless loner who spent nearly £150.000 on sex-chat phone lines has been declared bankrupt.
The Sun told in April how 45-year-old Kevin Waldrum spent up to 22 hours a day talking to girls on £2-a-minute lines.
His Vodafone bill was then said to be £91.184.
Now the ex-security guard, of Loughborough, Leics, admits he owed £141.754 — most of it spent on chatlines.
A judge declared him bankrupt last week.
Kevin said: “My debts were nearly £150.000. I’m relieved it’s over, it was making me sick. I want to warn others how chatlines can get you hooked and wreck your life”.
Vodafone reduced his bill to £29.000 as a goodwill gesture but he still could not find the cash.
Kevin became addicted to chatlines after splitting from his girlfriend.
